Thursday Travel from Quilting My Way

We were up and out the door by 9 am. Our flight was scheduled for noon. Since it ❄️ snowed the night before we decided to get moving early " just in case." We arrived a good hour plus.  We found our flight was delayed an hour. Then again another half hour. We figured we would have about 20 mins in Denver before having to leave for San Francisco.  There were others on our flight headed for Baltimore but 10 minutes before we landed they announced the flight was leaving. Think there were 4 on our plane. We arrived at the gate ...

Getting Some Blocks Made from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick reminded me that he wanted his golf cover fixed. So, I knew I would have to go down and sew it up. He gave it to me over a month ago, and I really didn't want to "mend" it.

I made our cheese pie today. It's an easy recipe. I take cream cheese, beat it. Then add Cool Whip and beat it more. I add a little sugar (1/4 cup) and work that in as well. Once all that is done, I pour it into the pie crust - graham cracker. Then I put some ...

Finished Another Quilt from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick woke with the phone ringing. I didn't hear it. The doctor called to let him know about the study. He had been approved and if he wanted to continue, it would be about 2-3 weeks before surgery. He decided not to wait on surgery, and we are a go for Wednesday. He has a ton of appointments up there on Monday. It will be an 8 hour day and he doesn't think we need to go up for that with him, since we would be waiting all day for him.

After the call he watched ...

Trying To Finish A Few UFO's from Quilting My Way

This morning I wanted to sleep all day. I really couldn't get out of bed and slept till 10 am when I heard the beeping of the oven. Patrick made some rolls. I realized I took a couple pills that should have been taken together and it knocked me out. I rarely do that. So, I told Patrick, I won't ever do that again.

Then I heated up the downstairs. I wanted to get a few things done. First I needed to get to work on the binding for the Christmas quilt I had Bill quilt for me ...

Applique At Moms from Quilting My Way

I just realized I didn't do my blog last night. We had company yesterday. AND I did get some cross stitching done before they came.

I was able to get this far yesterday.

Today I was up a little late but still made it to moms by 9:45. She was getting ready for Nancy and Carmen. We chatted and she told me my sister-in-law has Covid. She also has COPD, so Covid isn't going to help her. My niece (not to bright) went to her parents (my brother's) for Christmas to be with the rest of ...
